In commemoration of July 25th International Day of Women of African Descent, I would like to invite you to join us on July 31st at Boston City Hall Plaza.
The day was founded in 1992 at a meeting in Santo Domingo by Afrolatinamerican, Afrocaribbean and Diaspora Women. It was from there that the Red de Mujeres Afro was born. We see this day as a reclaiming, celebrating the light and work of Women of African descent from all over. If you would like to say a few words on the plaza, please email me separately. I will also be reaching out to a few of you one on one. If you would like your organization to say a few words, please reach out. Please share with your networks and lets show up together. Attached is the flyer. I look forward to seeing you on July 31st. Peace Yvette Modestin “In the Struggle for Justice is the hope” - Loretta J. Williams
