1. Objective:
We call for the contest of ideas for the design of the logo destined to be the visual identity of the International Forum At four years of the decade: Scopes and challenges of the Observatory of the Political Platform of Afro-descendant women, that will be heldÂÂ in Cali, Colombia in 2018. During this event we’ĺl share the experiences, evaluations, learned lessons, proposals and strategies for the implementation of the International Decade for people of African -Descent and the fulfillment of the Political Platform of Afro-Descendant Women from the Americas and the Caribbean, in order of having a panorama and regional balance about the first years of this importance Decade and the challenges for the next six years and beyond
2. Participants:
Afro-descendant women members of the Network of any country can participate, with at least two years of remaining active as affiliates individually or on behalf of their organization, with only one proposal per contestant.
3. About the proposals:
The works must be original, unpublished and have not been presented in any other contest. The author is fully responsible for the actions that may arise from the breach of any of these rules.
The technique will be free, taking into account that the logo will have to be reproduced later in different supports and materials.
The originals must be presented as follows:
Electronic format in high resolution. Likewise, a technical sheet of the logo must be included (typography, colors, according to the usual nomenclature, size ratio, etc.). The files that contain images must be of the type bmp, gif, jpg, tif or vectorial (Inscape, Coreldraw, etc).
The proposals must be accompanied by the logo’s memory, which must include those elements that, in the opinion of the creator, explain the work, as well as the technical sheet of the logo.
4. Deadlines:
The reception of the works will be open from September 22 of 2017, date of public release of this call and may be delivered until November 15 o 2017.
5. Deliver of proposals:
The works will be made duly identified to: logoforo.redafro@gmail.com, using a compressed folder orÂÂ WeTransfer, with attention to the Organizing Team of the International Forum At Four years of the Decade: Scope and challenges of the Observatory of the Women’s Political Platform afrodescendientes.
6. The Jury:
The jury of the contest will be chaired by the Forum Organizing Team in Colombia and the General Coordination of the Network.
7. Jury’s decision and awards:
The decision of the jury will be unappealable and will be announced on November 30, 2017, through the website of the Network: www.mujeresafro.org. A single prize will be awarded:
– Recognition and a Ticket to participate in the Forum.
8. Rights:
All participants at the moment their proposals are sent, accept that All rights of the winning proposal will be property of the Network. The other proposals received will be discarded and will not be usable for any other purpose, neither by its creators nor by the Network.
