“We are Trayvon Martin” – Speak Out — co-sponsored by Encuentro Diaspora Afro
Peace my peoples,
The Boston Day and Evening High Academy will be hosting a Speak Out, “We Are Trayvon Martin”. Encuentro Diaspora Afro is one of the co-sponsors of this event. Some of the young women from our HER Project will be present with other Encuentro family members.
The purpose of this community forum is to:
1. Learn about the Common Defense Bill in MA (Similar to the Stand Your Ground Law in FL)
2. Provide an opportunity for community to share their experiences and solutions regarding stereotyping, profiling and how to improve our community.
3. Continue to support Trayvon Martin’s family in the fight for justice!
We hope to see you there as we begin the process of moving forward as a unified community.
