Por un Estado que cumpla con los Derechos de las Mujeres
Ya es hora, es tiempo!!
Los Estados deben cumplir las deudas pendientes con las mujeres

CLADEM (Comité de América Latina y el Caribe para la Defensa de los Derechos de las Mujeres), junto a la Red de Mujeres Afrolatinoamericanas, Afrocaribeñas y de la Diáspora en ocasión de la 56ª sesión del CSW hacen un llamado a los Estados para que cumplan con las obligaciones pendientes que tienen con las mujeres de la región, surgidas al ratificar los tratados y las convenciones de Derechos Humanos.
Las deudas pendientes son múltiples y abarcan desde reformas legislativas para lograr la plena igualdad formal, hasta la implementación de políticas para alcanzar la igualdad real en el acceso a recursos económicos, en el derecho a vivir una vida sin violencia, en el goce de los derechos sexuales y reproductivos y educación, entre muchos otros.
Un Estado Democrático de Derecho es aquel que respeta los Derechos Humanos de todos y todas sus habitantes sin discriminación alguna y garantiza su goce y ejercicio. Los tratados que otorgan derechos humanos a las mujeres deben ser tomados en serio y cumplidos de buena fe. Por ello exigimos:
1- Garantía de igualdad entre mujeres y varones; con la eliminación de normas y prácticas discriminatorias y la ratificación del Protocolo Facultativo de la CEDAW en aquellos países que aún no lo han hecho.
2- Impulsar la igualdad y el reparto de responsabilidades en las tareas de cuidado para erradicar la pobreza, mediante la garantía de igualdad de oportunidades para mujeres y hombres.
3- Garantía de una vida libre de violencia para las mujeres y las niñas.
4- Autonomía sexual y autonomía reproductiva. Acceso a recursos y servicios de salud sexual y reproductiva.
5- Acceso a una educación laica, intercultural, no sexista y no discriminatoria.

For a State that ful ls its duties towards women’s human rights
The hour has arrived, it is time!!
The States must ful ll their pending obligations with women
The Latin America and the Caribbean Committee for the Defense of Women’s Rights, along with the Afro-Latin American, Afro-Caribbean and the Diaspora Networks on the occasion of the 56th session of CSW, call upon the States to fulfill the outstanding obligations they have with women in the region, arising from the commitments made through the ratification of treaties and conventions on human rights.
Pending obligations are many and multiple, ranging, from the area of legislative reform in order to be able to achieve formal equality, to the area of implementation of policies and measures in order to achieve real equality such as the access to economic resources, the right to live a life free of violence, to sexual and reproductive rights and the right to education, among others.
A democratic state of law is one that respects the human rights of all and all its inhabitants without any discrimination and one that guarantees the enjoyment and exercise of these rights. The treaties that grant human rights to women must be taken seriously and enforced based in good faith . Therefore we demand:
1- To guarantee equality between women and men, with the elimination of discriminatory
practices, looking to the ratification of the CEDAW Protocol.
2– To promote equality and shared responsibility in the care work in order to eradicate poverty,
through equal opportunities for men and women.
3- To guarantee a life free of violence for women and girls.
4- To secure sexual autonomy and reproductive autonomy; to secure access to resources and
services in the areas of sexual and reproductive health.
5- To get access to a secular, intercultural, non-sexist and non-discriminatory education.
